This year to acknowledge Emergency Services Week, the Frenchville centre was visited by some firefighters who showed off their fire engine.
The Kindergarten children were extremely lucky to have the firefighters come into our room and have a group discussion about fire safety. We learnt about 'Get down low and go, go, go' and 'Stop, drop and roll'.
The children were also very excited to share their own knowledge about the centre fire drill, our evacuation map and exit signs. At the end of the fire engine tour the children were even able to assist a firefighter in operating the hose.
It was a great morning had by all and we can't wait for their next visit.
