Gracemere Campus

Skippy's Gracemere is conveniently located in Breakspear Street diagonally across from St Pauls Primary School with excellent accessibility for the local community including ample parking facilities and public transport at our door.

Skippy's completely refurbished the original buildings before opening in 2010. To meet growing demand, a third building was constructed in 2014, along with a comprehensive upgrade to the outdoor play environment. Several additional outdoor environment upgrades have been made over the past 10 years to meet the needs of the children in our care.

The centre has indoor and outdoor play learning spaces that provide children with the opportunity to explore, discover and self-select from a large variety of developmentally appropriate activities. These are aimed to extend on children's interests and provide them with realistic challenges in the learning environment

“Our daughter has been in the care of Skippy’s Gracemere three days a week for the last five years. As she starts school next year, her time at Skippy’s is sadly coming to an end.

With the heartbreaking stories in the news in recent months about neglect and abuse in other institutions, we wanted to express our heartfelt thanks to every member of the Skippy’s team for looking after our little princess so beautifully. We have never had a moment’s worry when leaving her in your care — the quality of care has always been exceptional.

We also never expected just how much she would learn during her time at Skippy’s. She can now count to 100 (with a few funny little mistakes), spell the names of all her close family members and may even be reading a little before starting school! We are so grateful for everything you have taught her.

Naturally, we want to acknowledge her most recent educators, Marita and Anette, who have guided her learning so thoughtfully this year.

And we can’t finish without mentioning Lisa P. Our daughter has always found morning goodbyes a little tough, and Lisa — often affectionately called ‘little Miss Lisa’ — has always been the one to help her settle with love and reassurance. Don’t be deceived by her size… the care she gives makes her a giant. Miss Lisa is almost as good as Mummy!

“We wanted to share how much of a positive difference we’ve seen in our son over the past month since starting Kindy at Skippy’s Gracemere.

At home, he is more settled, confident, and comfortable in himself. He’s communicating more, coping better with routines, and overall seems happier and more relaxed. Seeing these changes has been incredibly special, and we truly believe Kindy has played a big part in this growth.

He talks constantly about his new classroom and is genuinely excited to go each day. He often mentions his friends and the educators who support him, and it means the world to us as parents to hear how much he enjoys being there.

Recently, he even shared that when he grows up, he wants to be a teacher like Miss Lisa — which really shows just how much of an impact Kindy and the educators are having on him.
