đCelebrating Mother's Day across Skippyâs Early Learning Centres in Gracemere, Frenchville, Yeppoon, and OSHC at The Range â Rockhampton, Central Queensland.

May is a beautiful time of year in Central Queensland. As the temperatures begin to drop and we move into the heart of autumn, it's also the perfect time to reflect on the incredible role of mothers and mother-figures in the lives of children. At Skippyâs, weâre proud to celebrate Motherâs Day across our services in Gracemere, Frenchville, Yeppoon, and at our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service at The Range in Rockhampton.
In the world of Early Childhood Education and Care, we understand that strong, loving relationships are the foundation of every childâs development â and the bond between a mother and her child is one of the most powerful relationships of all. Whether itâs in childcare, kindergarten, or before and after school care, we see the impact of mothers every single day.
Mothers are a childâs first teacher â their guide, comforter, protector, and biggest supporter. Long before formal education begins, children learn from their mums how to communicate, love, problem-solve, and engage with the world around them. That deep, intuitive connection helps shape a childâs confidence, resilience, and sense of belonging.
At our Skippyâs centres in Yeppoon, Gracemere, and Frenchville, and through our dedicated team at The Range OSHC, we work closely with families to support and strengthen these connections. From drop-off chats to family events, from daily routines to shared goals, we know that when we partner with families â especially mums â children thrive.

We also honour that motherhood comes in many forms. To the grandmothers, stepmothers, foster carers, aunties, and other amazing women who take on this nurturing role â we see you, and we thank you. You are shaping hearts and minds in a way that lasts a lifetime.
In our early learning and school-aged care programs, we witness the quiet strength and everyday magic of motherhood. Whether youâre holding little hands during a challenging morning, cheering from the sidelines of a school concert, or working behind the scenes to give your child every opportunity to succeed, you are making a difference.
This Motherâs Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to all the mothers and caregivers across our Skippyâs community. Thank you for sharing your children with us, trusting us to be part of their journey, and walking alongside us in shaping their early years and beyond.

May your day be filled with love, laughter, and the recognition you deserve â not just on Motherâs Day, but every day.
With love from the Skippyâs Team in Central Queensland â Gracemere, Frenchville, Yeppoon, and The Range OSHC. đ
